More Info. Program: 1941 Operation Typhoon

This wargame recreates the German unsuccessful attempt to capture Moscow in late 1941, followed by the Russian counter-offensive that denied the German any chance to conclude the eastern war that year. To win, the German must march hard towards the Russian capital, capturing it ensuring them a victory, on the other side, the Russians must keep Moscow out of German reach and drive axis units back to their starting position by the end of winter. Operation Typhoon is a turn based wargame. It uses classic rules like hex movements, ZOC's, combat odds, supply, multi-steps units, reinforcements, replacements, rail movement, variable / historical weather, etc. It is played on a map of 16x10 hexs, with an average of 50 units. There are 2 scenarios and a full campaign that lasts for up to 14 turns. One player will control the German army, the other plays the Soviet forces.
